FlixBus is expanding its services on journeys between Manchester, Leeds, Middlesbrough, Sunderland, and Newcastle thanks to an enhanced partnership with Stanley Travel.
Two new Yutong GT12 coaches, which have been bought by Stanley Travel, will increase frequencies to four departures per day from today (17 April).
The family-owned operator, which was established in 1961, joined the FlixBus network in 2023.
Andreas Schorling, Managing Director at FlixBus UK, says: “Stanley Travel has been a fantastic operator since day one, frequently receiving excellent customer ratings and reviews.
“Our partnership has gone from strength to strength, and we are delighted to be growing our network with the Scott family, with whom we have built a great personal relationship.”
Andrew Scott, Director at Stanley Travel, adds: “FlixBus’s values very much align with our own, in terms of family culture, growth, and capitalising on opportunities.
“It’s been a fantastic two years together, so growing our business once again with FlixBus was a natural choice for our long-term success.”
FlixBus, which is celebrating its fourth anniversary in the UK this week, is promising another summer of wide expansion for its network, aiming to grow the number of vehicles on the road to more than 200 over the next few months.
Mr Schorling adds: “This expansion is yet another example of how FlixBus is delivering on its promise of building the largest coach network in the UK.
“We are excited to see our collaboration with Stanley Travel continue to thrive, as we offer more services and greater connectivity to passengers across the North.”
