Fully Booked app launches to facilitate coach hire referrals

An app has been launched aimed at allowing operators to earn from referring customers to other reputable hire companies when they are not in a position to take the work.

Fully Booked, which was launched as a website in September 2023 and has around 100 operators signed up, will allow the referrer to gain a commission.

Dominic Dormer, who formerly ran Go Coach minibus hire in Croydon, says the app will simplify the search process for customers.

He started up the website to cut down on what he describes as wasted advertising budgets. Potential customers can fill out a form detailing their requirements and then be matched with available operators.

Mr Dormer says: “I began my journey as a minibus operator. I would use Google advertising to attract customers. However, I often found myself telling customers, ‘I don’t own a 50-seat coach’ and ‘I don’t travel as far as Scotland’.

“These customers would always tell me that they had spoken to numerous other companies all saying the same thing. I realised that others were facing the same problem. So I decided to create a platform that would financially reward a company for referring an ‘unservable customer’ rather than saying the typical line of ‘sorry, I’m fully booked’.”
