Go North West (GNW), the Go-Ahead subsidiary formed to take over the former First Manchester depot at Queens Road, has announced two further appointments to its senior leadership team.

Jon Croxford (pictured) has been named Operations and Commercial Director. He was formerly Area Managing Director for Arriva Yorkshire and joined the bus industry as a management trainee with First Group.

Stephen Appleby will take up the position of Head of Engineering. Mr Appleby started his career in the Royal Air Force and most recently served as Engineering Director at First Manchester.

“They both bring a wealth of experience and I am pleased to welcome them,” says Interim MD David Cutts. “They replace interim leads Angie Ryder (operations) and Robert Watson (engineering), who were key players in the team that delivered a seamless transfer from FirstGroup.”

GNW recently announced that Nigel Featham, formerly of Arriva North East and Yorkshire, will join the business as MD [routeone/News/26 June]. Go-Ahead paid First £11.2m for the Queens Road operation.
