Operators are being urged to respond to the London Mayor’s consultant on plans to expand the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) – which dictates Euro 6  – to become a Londonwide scheme from 26 October 2020 for coaches and buses.

This is a widening of the ULEZ covering the central core of London, which comes into force on 8 April 2019.

The new zone would cover all of London within the North and South Circular roads.

The consultation closes on February 28.

Bridget Fox, Sustainable Transport Campaigner, Campaign for Better Transport says: “Restrictions on the most polluting vehicles are only part of the solution though. We need fewer cars not just newer cars.”
