AlcoSense Excel is a compact yet highly-accurate personal breathalyser

One in five drink driving-related accidents happen the morning after. AlcoSense recommends that drivers carry a personal breathalyser to ensure that alcohol has cleared from their system before starting work.

The AlcoSense Excel is an easy-to-use product that is also extremely accurate. It utilises a smaller version of the otherwise identical fuel cell sensor that is used on several UK, US and European police-standard breathalysers.

It senses the volume of breath exhaled during the test and takes a reading after 1.2 litres of air, ensuring that the most accurate and consistent sample is always taken.

Easy-to-read on-screen prompts coach the user on how, and when, to stop blowing. If they make a mistake, the unit informs them, and there is also a light to ensure that the blow tube is placed into the machine correctly.

Additionally, readings are fine-tuned according to temperature, so even in extreme conditions the Excel compensates to ensure that the correct reading is taken.

A clear ‘traffic light’ verdict is delivered and when 12-monthly recalibration is required, the unit will remind the user. The Excel is priced at £99.99.
