Go-Ahead owned Morebus has unveiled its £7.2m fleet of 41 Alexander Dennis E200 MMC buses for its 24-hour M1 and M2 services between Bournemouth and Poole.

The buses have free wi-fi, USB ports and contactless ticketing.

Morebus MD Andrew Wickham says the investment confirms its commitment to help reduce congestion in the region.

“Reducing congestion and helping to improve air quality is a responsibility we all share.

“We’re delighted that these new buses’ Euro 6 engine is cleaner than the latest generation of diesel cars.

“We know just how important it is to make sustainable transport a more attractive proposition, in order to entice people out of their cars – and this investment is a huge step in that direction.”
