RHA has expanded its legal service to the coach sector, offering its members legal advice and support on operational and business issues.
RHA Legal Services has dealt with more than 32,000 employment and regulatory calls for the haulage sector since 2016.
With the body also representing coach firms as of 2021, it has now decided to make the offering widely available, starting from 29p per day.
Members requiring immediate legal assistance will have their case referred to a dedicated lawyer, whether inside or outside of normal office hours.
Of the calls handled on the HGV side so far, 98% have been resolved same day, says RHA.
The service includes support for commercial contracts and corporate activities such as property disputes, while further services, including Public Inquires and Employment Tribunals representation, are available at preferential rates.
RHA Coach operations manager Andy Warrender says: “We are delighted to be able to launch RHA Legal Services for RHA coach members.
Since RHA Coaches came into being nearly four years ago, we’ve continually sought to add more value to membership for coach operators. This extends the opportunities for members and enhances the benefits of RHA membership even further.
“RHA Legal Services has proved invaluable to haulage members, and I believe that providing access to top legal advice and representation from experts in the passenger transport sector, at an affordable monthly fee, is a compelling offer for members.”
