Rise Digital Media has launched a 5G router for coaches and buses, offering greater connectivity for passengers and fleet management while vehicles are in service.
Rise Digital Media says the router is designed to integrate with other onboard hardware, reducing the need for multiple SIM cards and streamlining the technological infrastructure of the vehicles.
The company also provides back-end management software to offer real-time reports and insights into passenger Wi-Fi usage and connectivity patterns.
A statement from Rise Digital Media reads: “The router not only meets the rising demand for connectivity but also aligns with the broader industry trends towards smart and connected transportation.
Coupled with the business’s NextStop software, 5G access will offer passengers real-time information on the vehicle’s location, upcoming stops, and estimated arrival times.
“As cities and transportation networks become increasingly interconnected, the need for reliable and high-speed connectivity on buses and coaches becomes paramount. Rise Digital Media is positioning itself as a pioneer in this space by offering a solution that not only meets current expectations but also anticipates future needs.”
“As the transportation industry continues to evolve, Rise Digital Media wants to stand at the forefront, offering a comprehensive and affordable solution to elevate onboard connectivity standards.
“With a commitment to innovation and a focus on meeting the evolving needs of the market, Rise’s router is set to redefine the landscape of connectivity in buses and coaches.”
