Tickets for the 2024 routeone Awards presentation evening on Wednesday 13 November at The Vox at Resorts World Birmingham have sold out with more than five weeks to go.
A full house of 900 coach and bus industry guests will be the highest-ever attendance for the event, with a waiting list now in place. A venue change has made available more places than before, and organiser Diversified Communications has confirmed that The Vox will also host the routeone Awards in 2025.
Winners in 16 categories were decided by the seven-strong panel of expert judges in early September. Those names will remain closely guarded until the presentation evening, as will the identity of the celebrity co-host. They will join routeone Editor Tim Deakin in revealing the victors.
Industry stakeholders and suppliers have been equally supportive of the routeone Awards this year, with every sponsorship and partnership package accounted for by a variety of businesses from across the sector.
With the sold out sign now hung for the routeone Awards and anticipation for the Euro Bus Expo trade show at the NEC Birmingham between 12-14 November also rapidly growing, the coach and bus industry is set for productive three days.
Euro Bus Expo will see vehicle, product and service debuts from among the 180 exhibitors along with a peerless Masterclass Theatre programme. The latter will host speakers who will address visitors on a wide variety of topics extending from bus franchising and coach industry consolidation to decarbonisation, driver wellbeing and PSVAR.
Visitor registration for Euro Bus Expo is progressing strongly. Industry members who have not already completed that process can do so easily via the show website.
Event Director Helen Conway has welcomed the record interest in this year’s routeone Awards. “To have sold out several weeks before the presentation evening is a fantastic sign of how the industry has bought in, and we are looking forward to seeing our guests on the night,” she says.
“The routeone Awards have grown in strength and reputation over the years. Our presentation evening is the industry’s Oscars night and there is a palpable sense of expectation as we approach the culmination of this year’s hard work by entrants and judges alike.”
