Yellow Buses roving cleaner in action

Bournemouth operator Yellow Buses has made permanent a roving cleaner team member position. The operative cleans touch points on its vehicles as they pass through The Square during the daytime.

The operator says that the initiative is part of its work to assure passengers of the safety of bus travel ahead of an expected increase in customer volumes from 12 April.

The mobile cleaner position was introduced by Yellow Buses as part of a trial. The company says that the role complements other cleaning measures that have been strengthened during the pandemic. All of its buses are additionally equipped with hand sanitiser dispensers.

Overnight, each bus received a thorough deep clean, including of touch points. As part of the relaxation of restrictions from 12 April, Yellow Buses will also reopen its travel shop in central Bournemouth.
