Speakers announced for Master Class Theatre

Debuts for seven industry leaders at Euro Bus Expo as ‘unrivalled opportunity’ in store for attendees

EBE visitors have fine line-up of Master Class speakers to look forward to

Senior figures from Greys of Ely, the Go-Ahead Group, Lucketts Travel, Stephensons of Essex, Transport for London (TfL) and Transdev Blazefield are among some of the leading lights of the coach and bus industry set to appear in the Master Class Theatre at Euro Bus Expo.

Additionally, representatives of the Bus Users UK, the Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT), LowCVP and Transport Focus have also been confirmed.

Speakers will cover numerous topics, from the ramifications of Brexit to open government, air quality to driver recruitment and retention, Earned Recognition to bus safety standards and passenger loyalty to customer satisfaction.

Thomas Ableman, founder and CEO of Snap Travel Technology, is among the speakers making his debut. He will outline how Snap is transforming intercity travel for a new generation of coach users, and his plans to grow the network across the UK.

Claire Mann, Director of Bus Operations at TfL, is another new speaker. She will discuss TfL’s new Bus Safety Standard, to be incorporated into contracts with operators from the end of 2018.

Other speaker highlights include:

  • Martin Dean, CPT President and Managing Director – Bus Development at the Go-Ahead Group, will look at the changing face of the UK’s coach and bus market and matching services with customers
  • Meera Nayyar, Passenger Experience Team Leader at the Department for Transport, will discuss open data and the government’s ambitions
  • Anthony Smith, Chief Executive of Transport Focus, will examine getting more and happier passengers on your services
  • Steven Salmon, Director of Policy Development at CPT: Potential Brexit implications for UK and EU coach and bus operations
  • Bill Hiron, MD of Stephensons of Essex, and Keith McNally, CPT Operations Director: Driver recruitment and retention in the coach and bus industry.

Euro Bus Expo will be held at the NEC Birmingham on 30 October-1 November. Registration is free.
