Tranmere Rovers FC has teamed up with Stagecoach Merseyside and South Lancashire to offer supporters a more efficient way of getting to and from the ground.

The company provides dedicated match-day transport to all three major football clubs in the Merseyside catchment area including Liverpool FC, Everton FC and now Tranmere Rovers.

Fans will be able to access the TR1 service, which will run direct from Liverpool City Centre to Prenton Road, every hour on match days.

The TR1 service will depart Liverpool City Centre from Dale Street via Victoria Street for the Cavern then and Lime Street and will be ready to depart from the ground on Borough Road to Liverpool City Centre shortly after the final whistle.

Match day staff will also be on hand to assist supporters using buses departing after the game.

The service will provide a fast, easy and hassle free journey to and from Rovers games at a cost of just £2 each way.

The service will run approximately 2 hours before the weekday 19.45pm kick off and 3 hours before 3pm games on weekends.

Rob Jones, Stagecoach Merseyside and South Lancashire’s managing director, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Tranmere Rovers to provide fans with an easy and efficient way to get to the match.

“Significant numbers of fans travel to the Rovers game from Liverpool so we want to ensure they have a fast easy and hassle free journey to and from the game.

“Stagecoach Merseyside and South Lancashire is already providing a dedication service for Liverpool Football Club and Everton Football Club so it’s great to be adding Tranmere Rovers to that roster.”
