York-based Just Travel, which closed in the week before Christmas, has avoided attending a Public Inquiry, scheduled for 9 January.

Instead, in an unusual move, the Traffic Commissioner has accepted the surrender of the 10-vehicle O-Licence.

The Ancaster Airfield-based firm, owned by James Simpson, shut on 22 December saying it had taken the decision “in the best interests of its clients, staff and family.”

The goodwill, diary and phone numbers have been sold to York Pullman, while the fleet will be disposed of privately.
