Tomorrows Travel invests and appoints as further growth planned

Tomorrows Travel continues investment and growth

Tomorrows Travel has invested in both its fleet and its staff resource as the Wimborne, Dorset operator focuses on growth after a successful 18 months since founding by Directors Jay Thornton and Jason Cousins.

Two low-mileage Irizar i6 integral coaches have been purchased second-hand via Universal Asset Finance. They were formerly with Clarkes of London and have been repainted into Tomorrows Travel’s distinctive purple livery.

Meanwhile, three appointments have been made in a move that Mr Thornton says will enable him and Mr Cousins to focus on business development and further expansion, as has been the operator’s plan from the outset. Doubling the size of the Tomorrows Travel operation in 2025 is the aspiration, he adds.

To help facilitate that, Andy Sumnall has joined as Operations Supervisor. He oversees vehicle allocation and dispatch and is first contact for drivers. Mr Sumnall has 10 years’ driving experience and is fulfilling what the operator describes as a two-year training and development plan.

Named Bus and Coach Hire Manager is Mandy Perregil. She was headhunted by the operator and brings more than 25 years’ experience in private hire sales operations with two larger coach operators in the region.

Ms Perregil will assist in day-to-day operations and account management and play a key role in business development. Also added to the payroll is Carla Withers as a further driver.

Mr Cousins says that a diverse workforce with a defined structure will help to deliver on Tomorrows Travel’s growth plans. He notes that Ms Perregil’s experience in the coach industry will be particularly beneficial.

Adds Mr Thornton: “Good commercial staff can be hard to find. We know that Mandy has a proven track record in coach and bus hire that will take our plans to the next level while having some female influence in our business.

“With our recent coach fleet additions and another high capacity, seatbelt-equipped double-decker due in November, this really highlights our commitment to growth and continued investment.”
