In a conquest order family-run Park’s of Hamilton Coaches is to take its first two Mercedes-Benz Tourismos, in a departure from its previous buying policy.

It follows delivery of four Sprinter Travel 45 minibuses in 2016 to the Scottish operator.

The 12m Tourismo coaches will be used mainly on Caledonian Travel tours, providing an extensive range of services including day excursions, weekend breaks and tours throughout the UK and Ireland.

Built to generous specifications, they will seat 51/53 in Travel Star Eco fabric upholstery with leather headrests and the added comforts of arm rests, foot rests, lateral seat adjustment and fold-out tray tables.

EvoBus (UK) Area Sales Manager David Hobson says: “The order is on the back of a successful demonstration in 2016. The coach was fitted with Mercedes-Benz telematics system, Fleetboard which influenced the decision.”

Entertainment is provided by dual 19in LCD monitors paired to a Bosch audio/visual system – the coaches also come preinstalled for Wi-Fi connectivity.

Additions of individual overhead service controls with air-conditioning, full climate control, colour-coded pleated curtains and tinted window glazing ensure all Park’s of Hamilton passengers’ expectations in luxury travel are surpassed.
