The Mellor coachbuilt-bodied Sprinter has 16 Rescroft CT Lite seats

Vale of Glamorgan council has taken delivery of a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with accessible bodywork, supplied by Mellor Coachcraft (01706 860610).

It will carry passengers to and from a day care centre and on trips, and it has 16 Rescroft CT Lite seats and capacity for up to six wheelchair users. A bilingual reverse warning is also part of the specification.

Says Kyle Phillips, Group Manager – Transport Services: “Mellor won the tender for our new minibus based on meeting our bespoke specifications at a competitive price.

“The vehicle has been allocated to a variety of council-led programmes and excursions where we transport a number of frail customers with wheelchairs and mobility issues, so a requirement for a smooth and comfortable ride was paramount.”
