Budding mechanic Vincent ‘Vinnie’ Burnett, 21, is hopeful of gaining an exciting apprenticeship with Go Ahead-owned bus operator Bluestar, after completing a special course through The Rainbow Project.
Vinnie, from Southampton, joined Bluestar through the project after being put forward with three other candidates for interview.
He impressed and was successful – joining for an initial 12 month period. And now it is hoped he will continue to develop with the bus operator as an apprentice.
“Vinnie has done extremely well and is on target to gaining an apprenticeship,” says Trudi Thompson of The Rainbow Project.
Steve Prewett, Bluestar Engineering Manager, says: “I hope to see him develop his career further with us over the coming months and years.”
