Bus drivers from Arriva North East’s Darlington depot are wearing Christmas jumpers for December and each will donate £5 from their December wages to Our Fight for Ryan.
Local youngster, six-year-old Ryan Chidzey, was just three when his parents, Claire and Cieran, received the devastating news that he had Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Determined to find a cure in Ryan’s lifetime, the family from Gainford has almost reached its target of a £50,000 donation for Muscular Dystrophy UK.
The drivers are also encouraging passengers to donate on selected Arriva buses.
