The Oxford Bus Company (OBC) team based at the travel shop in Oxford city centre have all been trained to use a defibrillator after one was installed in the premises.
The life-saving equipment was installed in the Gloucester Green premises by the South Central Ambulance Service.
Dave England, Community Engagement and Training Officer for South Central Ambulance Service and part-time Oxford City Sightseeing bus driver, was behind the scheme.
Phil Southall, OBC Managing Director says: “When we heard our colleague David was looking for a location for a defibrillator at Gloucester Green we did not hesitate to help. It’s a vitally important piece of equipment that saves lives in critical situations and we’re proud to be able to host it in our travel shop.”
