Arriva Cannock has bid farewell to one of its longest serving employees, as bus driver, Stan Brookhouse, heads off on a well-earned retirement.
Stan, 73, joined the bus industry in 1965.
General Manager, Arriva Cannock, Jack Grove, says: “Stan has been the lynchpin of this business for longer than most of us can remember and he is so very valued by all of us – for his vast experience, his wise counsel and his great sense of humour. “
“He is a true character, a proper gentleman, with many a tale to tell, and he has been an absolute credit to Arriva. We really can’t thank him enough for all his years of hard work and dedication, not just on behalf of Arriva, but for the local bus industry as a whole. He will be greatly missed by colleagues and customers alike, but we wish him all the best for what we’re sure will be a fun-filled retirement.”
