After 15 years in the role, and over 30 years at Stagecoach, Engineering Director Peter Sheldon is retiring from the bus operator.
As engineering director, Pete led an engineering team of over 100 staff operating around 280 buses in the region. During Peter’s time at Stagecoach, the company has increased its passenger base, and adopted new green initiatives, including the company’s EcoDriver system.
Under Peter’s leadership, the engineering team’s most recent achievements have been the opening of a brand new Swindon depot, and the launch of 12 brand new Gold service buses.
Rupert Cox, Managing Director of Stagecoach West says: “Pete has been a huge asset to Stagecoach West, and will be sorely missed by depot and head office staff alike.
“I wish him all the best in his retirement, and look forward to keeping in touch with him to see how he’s getting on.”
