Jason Edwards Travel has made two appointments to its management team thanks to what the recently formed operator says is “unprecedented growth in work.”
Errol Thomas is promoted to become General Manager of National Express Contracts from the operator’s depot at Heathrow. He will take on overall responsibility for Jason Edwards Travel’s business with that customer.
Mr Thomas was formerly Assistant Operations Manager and brings managerial and driving knowledge from both the scheduled coach and bus areas.
Managing Director Jason Edwards (pictured) underlines that Mr Thomas “has a wealth of experience working for National Express covering multi-sites and the coach and bus sector.”
Stewart Isaac, who was the business’s first employee at its founding by longstanding coach industry figure Mr Edwards during 2023, has been similarly promoted. He takes up the role of Project Manager of Operations and Commercial Opportunities.
Mr Isaac also has many years of coach industry experience. He steps up from the position of Operations Manager and will both support Mr Thomas and “look to develop best practice and opportunities for Jason Edwards Travel moving forward at pace,” adds Mr Edwards.
He continues: “Our customers, suppliers and staff are at the forefront of what we stand for, and this new structure will certainly support that, offering even greater care and accuracy moving forward.”
In addition to its National Express work, Jason Edwards Travel has a growing tour-based operation, for which it has already received its first new coach in the form of a Neoplan Tourliner.
During late 2023, Mr Edwards said that the new business had exceeded financial projections and that growth was a priority, noting that expansion may equally come to its National Express provision.
