Pawel Polewski has been promoted to Operations Manager of Go-Ahead Group subsidiaries Carousel Buses and Thames Travel. He will be responsible for over 100 vehicles.
That represents an expansion of his previous responsibility as Operations Manager for Thames Travel. Mr Polewski joined the Didcot operator in 2018 as Commercial and Planning Officer before moving to the position of Planning Officer. He then became Service Delivery Manager, where he was in charge of service oversight, control room management and driver compliance, and subsequently Operations Manager.
Speaking about his latest promotion, Mr Polewski says: “I have always enjoyed driving, and the transport sector interested me when I moved to the UK as a teenager. I worked as a driver on local bus routes, coaches and airport runs before taking my skills into what I do today.
“Now I am responsible for our schedules, driving rotas, the control room and our entire backroom operation and team, who do a great job in delivering our services even in the most challenging of circumstances.”
Greater responsibility means that Mr Polewski spreads his time between the Thames Travel depot in Didcot and the Carousel Buses operating centre in High Wycombe.
