Stagecoach has strengthened its UK Bus senior management structure with the appointment of two new Regional Directors.
Catherine Acton-Brazier will join as Regional Director North of England in November after 27 years in various roles with BT. She will oversee the group’s Cumbria and North Lancashire, East Midlands, Manchester, Merseyside and South Lancashire, North East and Yorkshire operating companies.
Carla Stockton-Jones has been appointed Regional Director South of England. She will join the group later this year. Mrs Stockton-Jones will oversee the East, Midlands, Oxfordshire, South, South East, South West and West businesses.
Stagecoach has also announced that Regional Director Scotland and Wales Robert Andrew (pictured) is to retire. He will step down next year after an almost 35-year career in the transport industry.
Mr Andrew joined the group in 1992 as Operations Manager in Inverness. He will continue in his current role until June 2020 while a process to appoint a successor is underway.
Mike Watson, previously Regional Director England and Wales, is to take up a new role within Stagecoach’s business development team. Regional Director London Paul Lynch will remain in post.
Each Regional Director will report to Chief Operations Officer Mark Threapleton. He says: “We’re delighted to have made two appointments to our senior team. They bring a wealth of knowledge of customer service and innovation from major retail business.
“That will complement and broaden the wealth of transport industry experience that we currently have in our senior team. It will help to bring a fresh positivity to the business.”
