Switch Mobility has made a further appointment to its leadership team with the naming of Dr Miranda Brawn as Independent Non-Executive Director.
Dr Brawn is a former banker and a senior lawyer. Switch says she “brings her wealth of experience across many sectors, including finance, law, technology and engineering – notably electric vehicles – to the boardrooms of global organisations.”
Says Dr Brawn: “It is an honour to join an extraordinary company and a team of top expert industry leaders within the engineering space. Together we are going to create a leading, first-class global electric vehicle company, trailblazing the way to zero-carbon transportation.”
Adds Switch Mobility Chairman Dheeraj Hinduja: “We have brought together all of our electrical vehicle initiatives under the Switch Mobility umbrella. In pursuit of our ambitious goal to lead net zero carbon mobility, we are strengthening our team to driver these execution plans vigorously.
“Furthermore, we strongly believe in diversity of talent at board level to guide and support the management. I welcome Dr Miranda Brawn to the board. I am confident that her extensive experience will be invaluable in directing the company to accelerate our vision.”
The appointment of Dr Miranda Brawn to the board of Switch Mobility follows the company’s formal launch and the naming of initial members of its leadership team earlier in July. It has combined the electric commercial vehicle operations of Optare and Ashok Leyland into one organisation.
