First Travel Solutions Head of Operational Delivery Kerry Turner has been selected by Women in Bus and Coach for a one-year position on its board of directors via a mentee programme.
Ms Turner joined the board on 1 August. She will work closely with experienced members to gain insight into corporate governance, strategic planning, and industry trends.
During the year, Ms Turner will also play an active role in shaping the Women in Bus and Coach vision and strategic direction to further strengthen the organisation’s impact and reach. She will also receive hands-on mentorship, gain experience, and contribute to decision-making at the highest organisational level.
Selection of the winner marks what Women in Bus and Coach is a significant milestone in its ongoing mission to foster gender diversity and empower women in leadership positions within the coach, bus and community transport sectors.
The organisation adds that Ms Turner has already “demonstrated exceptional passion” for advancing women in those fields, and that her work ethic, vision, and enthusiasm for positive change aligns with its mission to create a more inclusive and diverse industry.
