Truckfile launches spoken word maintenance system

Truckfile will soon launch a spoken word vehicle maintenance system.

It allows staff to undertake inspections and repairs using a series of ‘hands free, eyes free’ spoken commands.

They wear a headset that incorporates a microphone – and say what they see as the job proceeds as verbal prompts are given.

The equipment then logs their responses. Details are saved and records are updated automatically.

That, says Truckfile, can speed up the whole process by an average of 20% as no additional time is required for record inputting.
