Serious questions to be asked

What a terrible and totally avoidable accident to have occurred on the M1 (routeone, News, 30 August) and which has resulted in the death of eight lives in the minibus.

It is shocking to discover that the driver Ryszard Masierak had apparently been living in his car for two months, was twice over the drink drive legal limit and had stopped for some reason in Lane One of the M1 for 12 minutes.

No doubt in the future some very serious questions are going to be asked of the Directors of Evesham-based AIM Logistics (Mustafa Elmagdoub, Ahmed Elmagdoub and Ismail Elmagdoub) how is it that they employ apparently homeless people to drive their lorries.

And, why does nobody apparently check when a driver books on shift to see if they have been drinking or under the influence of drugs?
