Even though it has been proven that diesel cars and taxis are by far much more a percentage of the London emissions, the mayor is still discriminating against private coach and bus companies.

‘We have already seen the systems that cost us thousands of pounds soon to be of no use’

What is the point of anyone getting involved in consultations when it seems like their minds have already been made up on this issue?

We all agree with low emissions, but the targeting again of coach companies who have already paid large amounts of money towards new exhaust systems seems very seems harsh, especially as its been proven that only 3% of coaches are causing the problem. Taxis will be able to receive grants for help with new engines but coach companies, who carry vastly more passengers into London, get nothing.

When will it end? Or will coach companies keep getting fined or charged for new euro engines or other systems. We have already seen the systems that cost us thousands of pounds soon to be of no use. Something needs to be approached, so that every few years another new engine will need to be provided by the coach companies.
