Pride & Joy Clothing has decided to close Ahead of the Rest, the passenger vehicle accessories side of its business.
The decision comes as Pride & Joy Clothing continues to grow: More room and staff hours are needed in the factory for the uniforms and workwear side.
Pride & Joy, formerly Leisurewear Direct, bought Ahead of the Rest in 2007 to strengthen its position in the passenger transport industry.
Jane Phillips, Managing Director, says: “That wasn’t as easy as it should have been, as the market was already declining, but we worked hard to provide a more cost-effective product – and also added the corporate offer of bespoke headrests for world-renowned sports teams.
“It is now time to focus on our niches and concentrate on the continued growth of Pride & Joy after an amazing 2016. 2017 is looking so exciting, as we are presently working on two major independent bus tenders, which is a first for me as MD, but a fabulous potential growth for us as a business.”
She adds that Pride & Joy has recently strengthened its team from within the industry, more details of which will follow.
