Experienced industry figures Leon Daniels and Steve O’Neill (pictured) have founded OneAssociates. It is a consultancy that offers advice to the transport industry on buying and selling a business, strategy and growth, and product marketing.
Serving both the coach and bus and the rail industries, OneAssociates provides what the two men describe as “friendly, impartial and confidential help” to business owners.
Says Mr Daniels: “We have come together to form a powerful consultancy that draws on our widespread experience to help in four key areas. Strategy and growth, buying a business, selling a business, and advising manufacturers wishing to establish themselves in the UK market.”
Mr O’Neill led his family’s The Kings Ferry Travel Group before selling it to National Express in 2007. He was subsequently a founding Director of Irizar UK, which imports the Spanish manufacturer’s DAF-engined integral coaches. He stepped down in 2019.
Mr O’Neill notes that his own experience in coaching, and Mr Daniels’ extensive knowledge of the bus world, give OneAssociates a strong overview of the whole industry. Mr O’Neill does not rule out adding further industry figures to the business’ roster in due course.

Advising on the sale and purchase of coach and bus firms is a key part of what OneAssociates does, adds Mr Daniels. “It’s estimated that four out of five UK businesses fail to sell when put on the market. That’s where we can prepare the ground to achieve the best outcome.”
