Richmond’s Coaches has renewed its contract with MiX Telematics for a further three years.
It comes after the successful implementation of a bespoke long-term programme that was specifically designed to enhance the operator’s performance, safety and customer experience.
It was developed in partnership with MiX’s customer success management team. The programme provides a highly sophisticated telematics solution to track and monitor driver and vehicle performance.
Information is delivered on a range of operational engineering parameters. The renewal will see that aspect of the relationship develop further.
Currently, engineering data on things such as high engine temperature, low coolant level, low oil pressure and low battery charge is gathered and reported on. If a parameter is exceeded, email notifications are sent.
Further development will see the programme extended to cover dashboard information, such as the monitoring of warning lights and other related instrumentation.
The monitoring function is of great benefit to Richmond’s, says Richmond’s Coaches MD Andrew Richmond. “Having access to real time engineering data enables us to spot and rectify faults before they become major issues. That helps us to reduce costs and maximise our customer service levels.”
