Training takes place at Unwin’s head offices at Martock, Somerset

Safety has always been the number one priority for Unwin, with a commitment to operators that goes way beyond them just making a purchase.

Unwin offers a range of market-leading products for accessible transport solutions, including wheelchair lifts and ramps designed for professional use, the Innotrax flooring system and seating fixtures.

Its commitment to customer service includes providing training in the safe use and maintenance of its products, and that safety goes hand-in-hand with training.

Unwin offers professionals within the accessible transport, ambulance and PTS sectors a range of training sessions and programmes to improve product understanding and to promote good practice.

It has a comfortable, in-house training facility at its headquarters in Martock, Somerset, which is fully equipped with the latest Unwin products to enable the delivery of comprehensive courses.

Those sessions usually last a full day and they have a strong ‘hands on’ format. A certificate of competence is issued to all participants upon successful completion and lunch is included.

When it comes to wheelchair lifts, Unwin’s network of approved agents across the UK are all trained and qualified to service and complete repairs on the BraunAbility range.

For drivers and attendants, training is also offered on the correct and safe use of wheelchair tie-downs and passenger restraints. Additionally, a series of free training videos is available on Unwin’s YouTube channel, with easy to follow, step by step instructions.

To find out more about Unwin’s training programme, contact Les Mosedale on 01935 827740 or leslie.mosedale@unwinsafety.com.
