Daish’s Holidays is a further business involved in the coach holiday market to have seen a large increase in bookings over the early days of 2021. Across its coach and self-drive sectors they have risen by 105% in the first two weeks in January compared to the same period last year, it says.
Sales and Marketing Director Paul Harper adds that a loyal customer base and Daish’s recent purchase of Robinsons Holidays – which brought 13 coaches and two hotels – has enabled the company to use the winter period to grow and enhance its programme.
“We have made it our mission to operate fairly and with clarity throughout the pandemic. It is pleasing to see that our customers continue to have confidence in us as a business to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for them, their friends and their family.
“The support that we have received from people looking to book a staycation with us as early as the spring has been imperative. We cannot wait until it is safe to open our doors again and provide our guests with a warm welcome and excellent hospitality.”
Daish’s Holidays says that bookings are strong from April until the end of 2021. It saw a “positive” summer season in 2020.
Both Bakers Dolphin and National Express’s package coach holidays division have already stated that bookings for their planned coach holidays in 2021 are strong. The former operator has reported more interest in domestic breaks than overseas tours. Each of those businesses have given credit to the ongoing vaccination process for driving interest.
