I wanted to let you know about a company in the coach hire business that is acting in a very poor way.
A coach was booked with Momentum Hub Ltd trading as Momentum Coach Hire to take a group of students from Oxford University to Yorkshire to play in the Whit Friday brass band competition. They had been practicing for months and collected £1,000, which was paid six weeks in advance for the coach hire.
Momentum was called an hour before the pick-up to double check the location. The band leader was then told that the coach would not be coming, and that no alternative transport would be available. He and the rest of the band were very upset, embarrassed and angry that they had missed the competition. Momentum has offered no apology or sensible explanation. After 10 days no refund has been received.
Reading the company’s reviews on Trust Pilot and TripAdvisor reveals a series of heart-breaking stories of missed weddings, charity events and sports fixtures as well as children and the elderly left with no way home and appalling service with no attempt at putting things right.
