17-seater is suited to feeder work and other duties; nine-seater also available from firm
PHVC minibus and fleet suppliers was promoting its top-selling Ford Transit MCA 17-seater in a bid to attract coach operators.
Managing Director, Paul Huxford, says: “We are very much in the education market and community care market at the moment. Over 90% of the minibuses we lease out to schools around the country are from the Ford Transit range owing to their quality and reliability.
“But we are looking at getting into the coaching market as more and more operators now are looking at minibuses as an interim vehicle.”
PHVC was also showing its older nine-seater Ford Transit model, which is a long-wheel base, and is ideal for buyers doing airport runs.
Mr Huxford, says: “We have tested the market and are very impressed with the coach sector. Most of the operators have nine- or 17-seaters to pick people up and take them to a central spot.
“We have had a lot of interest in these products.”
The new Transit minibus features a range of advanced technologies and smart systems. From increasing the driver’s awareness on the road, to improving efficiency, and making long drives less stressful. Every system in the Transit is purpose-built to make the driving experience better than ever.
