Coach operator Excelsior of Bournemouth has taken delivery of a high-specification Alexander Dennis Enviro400 double-decker that will be utilised on private hires, tour work, airport transfers and corporate shuttles.

The bus represents the first vehicle to be operated by parent company Go South Coast that has rear view cameras. Says Excelsior General Manager David Heckles: “We want to take our customers’ comfort and safety to a new level and we are delighted with the new bus.

“This new 80-seater represents a significant investment. The proven Alexander Dennis product offers the latest Euro VI engine and it has been accredited as Low Carbon Bus by the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership. It is exceptionally green – and it oozes refinement and quality.”

The new Enviro400 for Excelsior comes with seatbelts, USB charging and phone docking stations. It is a continuation of ADL’s success in supplying high-specification Enviro400s to the coach sector.
