OTS Minibus and Coach Hire has added five Mellor Strata Ultra minibuses to its fleet. They each give a 30-passenger capacity while retaining the Strata range’s ‘small bus’ credentials and they will be worked hard on 15-hour schedules on local bus services.
OTS Bus Services Manager Craig George says that the operator was “thrilled to discover that Mellor could built an operationally efficient bus with the capacity for 30 people, mounted on a reliable Mercedes-Benz chassis.
“We knew that the Strata Ultra was what we needed. I am pleased to say that we have not been disappointed by these revolutionary buses.”
Mellor says that the Strata Ultra – the biggest member of the a range that also includes the Strata and Strata Plus models – can deliver fuel returns of up to 22mpg and “impressive” total cost of ownership. The 30-passenger capacity includes two wheelchair users.
