ZF Services is increasing its aftermarket support with a revamp of its Nottingham Centre of Competence.
The fully ISO-accredited centre now boasts a 6500m2 workshop area and will supply a wider stock of remanufactured transmissions and axles, including support for electric portal axle AxTrax and TraXon automatic transmissions. Its industry trained technicians are multi-skilled and work to OEM standards.
ZF service partners can now also attend bus operators within a 48-hour window and perform onsite diagnosis, repairs and component exchange, which the supplier says will minimise downtime.
The boost comes after ZF says it assessed changing market demand and looks to offer the right support as restrictions ease.
“The past year was certainly not without challenge for every industry, but the commercial vehicle aftermarket has set a great example of pulling together to continue to successfully service customer demand,” says ZF Head of Commercial Vehicle David Wakeling. “During this time, we’ve watched the market closely and listened to customers’ changing requirements and have therefore invested further in additional resources, training and equipment at our Nottingham Centre of Competence.
“This provides customers with the reassurance that we are ideally placed to support with the service and repair of the next generation of commercial vehicles.”
As well as stocking and distributing genuine ZF parts, ZF’s head office in Nottingham provides a non-ZF gearbox remanufacture and reverse engineering service.
