New and for 2017 only, Windsor Castle is offering an exclusive group tour called Restoring Windsor: The Castle after the Fire.

Exclusive tour for groups explores aftermath of 1992 fire

It’s a unique opportunity to learn about the fire of 1992 and the return to magnificence that followed. Groups will hear the story of the battle to stop the flames and save irreplaceable works of art from the Royal Collection, and the subsequent restoration project which saw some rooms re-designed, while others were painstakingly returned to their original, historic appearance.

The special visit begins in the Castle’s Winchester Tower with refreshments and an expert talk. Visitors can then explore the State Apartments at their leisure with a multimedia tour, including areas transformed after the fire through award-winning restoration work.

The ticket includes a visit to St George's Chapel, Queen Mary's Dolls' House and to the magnificent State Apartments. Groups of 15+ receive 10% discount and the coach park is a 10-minute walk from the Castle.
