The new E400 MMC for Regency has ‘real kerb appeal’, says John Durrant

Another operator to take delivery of a high-specification Enviro400 MMC double-decker from Alexander Dennis (01909 551166) is Regency Coaches of Lewes, East Sussex.

The 11.5m bus has 82 high-backed seats with belts, alloy wheels, a sophisticated PA system and air chill equipment on the upper deck. It is powered by a Cummins ISB6.7 engine coupled to a ZF EcoLife gearbox.

“The whole package creates a vehicle with real kerb appeal, combining high capacity with a terrific interior and exterior finish,” says Director John Durrant.

Regency focuses on private hires, school contracts and day trips. It is one of several coach operators in the south east and elsewhere to have added Enviro400 MMCs to their fleets in the recent past.
