Reliance Motor Service has taken delivery of a pair of Volvo B8RLEs with MCV Evora bodywork. The 12.1m examples each have 46 seats and they are the first of their combination in the North Yorkshire fleet.
Driver acceptance has already been good, says Director Gary Newby. “These are the first Evoras that we have specified, but I have always been impressed with the Volvo chassis and how it performs,” he observes.
“I couldn’t be happier with these two latest additions to the fleet and I can say that they are the best buses I have driven in 22 years of driving. I have also had very positive feedback from our drivers.” Mr Newby additionally reports that Reliance has seen passenger numbers return to similar levels to those recorded pre-pandemic.
Adds Volvo Bus North of England Regional Account Manager Phil Hudson: “The driver feedback has been amazing, plus there has been glowing praise from Gary, who has plenty of bus driving miles.
“The Evora is available at 10.8m and 12.1m variants, and I am delighted that Reliance is so happy with its larger 46-seat models. It is also very encouraging that it is seeing a strong return in passenger numbers.”
