Ellisons Travel of St Helens has taken delivery of two more Irizar i8 integral coaches, supplied by Irizar UK.
The newcomers are 14.1m tri-axles, with 55 seats upholstered in real leather. They will be used on duties involving Premiership football teams and take to 39 the number of Irizar integrals that Ellisons has purchased since November 2014.
As with a pair of i8 integrals delivered in 2022, the latest examples have Irizar’s rear-view camera system. Each also has reversing and road cameras and they are finished in Ellisons’ metallic dark blue paint along with chrome vinyls.
Passenger amenities include a centre sunken toilet and a Bosch Smart Series audio-visual system with dual monitors. Seats each have lateral displacement, a magazine net, a multi-position footrest, a USB charging point, and a drop-down table.
The new coaches are carpeted throughout and the driver and courier seats are also finished in leather. Power is from the DAF MX-13 engine developing 530bhp driving through a ZF Traxon automated manual gearbox.
