The Euro 6, 44-seater Irizar i3-bodied Scania features comfy seats, USB chargers and free wi-fi. To board, students just scan their university ID cards.

Emblazoned with the university’s branding, it runs from 0750-1850hrs during university term time.

Barry Mullet, assistant director of facilities at the university says: “We’re thrilled to be able to offer this free bus service to our students. Reliability is a top priority for us and Worthing Coaches’ impeccable credentials in this area made the company first choice to work with on this project.”

Paul Barringer, sales and marketing director of Worthing Coaches, added: “We’ve pulled out all the stops to make sure students travel in ultimate comfort and style with our dedicated University of Brighton bus. Whether they want to continue working on the way home or simply relax and catch up with friends on social media, they’ll be well-connected with our USB chargers and free Wi-Fi.”
