Buckinghamshire County Council has partnered with Arriva and Carousel to launch Wycombe Smartzone, a new bus ticket arrangement in High Wycombe.

Launched on 8 January, passengers can buy day, week, four-week or multiple trip tickets which are accepted on all Arriva and Carousel buses in the designated area.

The Smartzone extends from Holmer Green (north), to Wooburn and Bourne End (east) to Handy Cross (south) and to West Wycombe. Previously passengers bought separate tickets to travel on all routes.

Deputy Leader and Transport Cabinet Member, Mark Shaw says: “I’m really pleased we’ve been able to work together to make this great customer-centred scheme happen.”

The set-up costs were match-funded with a £124,000 top up grant from Wycombe District Council.
