Bookham operator Reptons Coaches has added a Volvo B8R with Leopard bodywork to its fleet, supplied by Plaxton (01909 551166).
The 53-seater has entered service on school contracts, excursions and private hires. It has a ZF EcoLife automatic gearbox.
Says Reptons Coaches Partner Andy Repton: “When we came to purchase a new, top-of-the-range luxury coach that meets London’s demanding ULEZ standards, it made sense to return to Britain’s leading supplier – Plaxton. It was the right decision.
“We are delighted with our Leopard. It has a terrific finish, complete with leather headrests, air-conditioning, USB charging points, three-point safety belts and a reversing camera.
“It also has a real street presence, and the B8R coupled with the EcoLife automatic gearbox, provides great performance.”
He adds: ““We have worked with Plaxton for many years and also introduced Enviro200 single decks from Alexander Dennis Limited in 2018. These have been a great success. They operate on busy service routes between Guildford and Leatherhead, Cobham and Kingston upon Thames, and as dedicated ‘shopper hoppers’ in and around Staines.”
The Leopard also took part in the recent Plaxton rally at the manufacturer’s Scarborough plant.
