Williams Coaches of Brecon has been accepted into membership of the Guild of British Coach Operators.

John and Rose Williams receive their membership certificate and audit certificate of excellence from Guild Chairman Andrew Richmond

Guild Chairman Andrew Richmond says: “We are delighted to welcome another successful and respected operator into the Guild, lifting our membership to 24 companies, with two more soon to be announced.

“We look forward to them participating fully in the Guild’s activities as we continue to share best practice and showcase excellence in coach travel.”

Williams’ membership certificate was presented at the conclusion of a seminar on the impact of the new GDPR (Global Data Protection Regulation), where Guild members came together to hear an expert briefing on this far-reaching change to data protection rules, helping members to develop and share best practice.

Williams Coaches was established in the 1950s and is now managed by the second and third generation of the Williams Family.

It operates from modern purpose-built premises in Brecon, South Wales and has a wide-ranging luxury fleet.

Director Rose William says: “Throughout our history, Williams Coaches has always been committed to achieving the highest standards within the industry and we are delighted that our commitment has been recognised through the Guild’s exacting audit.

“We are proud to be associated with the best coach operators in the UK and are very much looking forward to making a positive contribution to the invaluable activities of The Guild.”

Now in its 33rd year, the Guild promotes and markets the services of its members, all of whom commit to meeting the highest quality standards, assured by regular independent audits.

Prospective members have to achieve a 100% pass before being accepted into the Guild.

The Guild is also registered as a Driver CPC training centre, giving members access to a suite of courses specifically designed for the coach industry.
