‘Operators wanted for study help’

I am a final year undergraduate student at Loughborough University, studying for a BSc in Transport & Business Management.

For my dissertation I am investigating the implications of airline-style ancillary revenue practices in the coach and bus industry, an example of which would be serving hot drinks on board or charging for wi-fi.

The aim of the study is to determine what practices have transferred into the coach and bus industry successfully, what practices are likely to transfer successfully, and what lessons can be learned by all those involved.

I am looking to interview (in person or via telephone) around 30 senior figures in operators, vehicle dealers and other industry bodies.

It would be appreciated if any readers and colleagues were able to complete an interview.

If you’re interested, please contact d.j.winmill-13@student.lboro.ac.uk

Dan Winmill,

Loughborough University
