Technology company Continental will showcase further developments of its ContiConnect digital tyre monitoring solution at the IAA trade show in Hanover this month.
Principal among them will be the ability to build the monitoring into existing fleet management systems.
The manufacturer says that ContiConnect allows operators undertaking long-distance journeys to monitor tyre temperature and pressures, along with other vehicle data, in real time.
Where issues are detected, that allows rectification to be initiated “in a targeted manner.” Reports on tyre condition, maintenance and efficiency complete the pictures.
