Metroline will work with CitySwift to deploy what the supplier says is “intelligent data” across a select number of the operator’s routes in London to optimise running times.
CitySwift’s Evolve module will be used for the exercise. It will analyse schedule and vehicle location data to understand where excess running time exists and then suggest optimised and more efficient timings that will improve service performance.
A trial has already been undertaken between the ComfortDelGro subsidiary and CitySwift. Metroline CEO Sean O’Shea says that the operator is “thrilled to extend the partnership with CitySwift to London.”
Mr O’Shea adds that the Evolve module “will speed up data analysis and enable confident, fast and data-driven decision making – ultimately leading to improved service performance and more competitive bidding opportunities.” He notes that Metroline “is committed to building strong relationships with partners to further enhance both the business and the service we provide.”
CitySwift Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer Alan Farrelly adds: “We believe that there is huge potential for Metroline in London using CitySwift’s Decision Intelligence platform.
“CitySwift will help Metroline to transform its internal processes through fast data analysis and high quality insights, delivering more accurate schedules, and to achieve performance goals to ultimately grow its success in London.”
